Sweetest Moment happened on Jan. 24th

The other night we were putting the boys to bed. We were in Zeke's room saying bed time prayers. I asked Ike if he wanted to pray for anything specific. He said "Mom, I pray that Jesus would take out my heart so he could come in". Brian and I just looked at each other and smiled. I explained to him that Jesus does not "actually" take out you heart to make room to come in. We explained to Ike that it means that we believe in Jesus. I asked Ike " What did Jesus do for us?" Ike: "Mom, he died on the cross for my sins." Me: "What is sin buddy?" Ike: "Sin is when you do really bad stuff" Brain asked Ike if he knew that Jesus came to forgive him of his sins. He said "Yes, Daddy!" Brian lead Ike in a real sweet prayer asking Jesus to come into his heart. After the prayer Brian told Ike that he was a Christian. Ike exclaimed, "YESSSSSSS!! I am a Christian!"
Our prayer is that our Boys will continue to Love our Father each day. That they will continue to grow in Grace in the knowledge of our sweet Savior.

Christmas Day

Zeke was making a train for his Mickey Mouse

Jo Jo and Brent gave the boys Nerf guns. Guess who got shot:-)

Bee Bee was so sweet to give the boys this book. She recorded herself reading this story to the boys. She even included their names during the story. What a sweet treasure.

When asked what was your favorite present. Zeke said "My pooh toothbrush!"

Opening their stockings

Playing with their flashlights in their tents.

Stockings hung with care

Our Christmas presents to the boys. We love playing outside and thought this would be perfect for our two little guys. The boys were so surprised to find a tent in front of the Christmas tree. Yes, the dinning room table was pulled out and replaced with this tent. The boys had so much fun playing in it that we left it in the dinning room all week. This year we had so much fun with our family. My sister's and cousins take the best pictures so when they post them "hint, hint" I will include our family Christmas parties. But for now I wanted to share our Christmas morning.

Birthday Party

We had so much fun at Ike's birthday part. We actually celebrated it on Brian's birthday! Love having both guys birthday's so close together. Here are so fun shots of the night. I wish I had my camera out a little longer. As you can tell we had a Spiderman party! Each year Ike picks out what he wants for a cake. I show him some pictures of different cakes and he gets to choose what he wants. Well, this year was a bit of a challenge however, was really fun to make. The head of Spiderman is actually a wig head! The only time consuming part was all the webbing! After making the cake it dawned on me how in the world am I going to get this to the party. Let's just say it took both Brian and I lap (while B. was driving) to get the cake to the party. Quiet the adventure!!!!

Fun Times

I have realized that I am a horrible blogger! I do not keep up with this even when I take the time to read other blogs. I think, I'll wait until after vacation comes then I will have something to blog. Then vacation comes and goes, then I think well I'll wait until after Labor day and the first day of school. Well, that has come and gone as well. Then I think ummm, I'll wait until after Ike's first Alabama football game. Yep, you have guessed it that is over as well. So, to make this blog short I am going to post some pictures of our WONDERFUL vacation to Hilton Head with my family. We really did have the best vacation. God has truly blessed us with amazing parents, sisters, and brothers. When we got home from HH school started that Monday. Ike and Zeke are loving their class. I am loving being with all the teachers helping them develop their lesson plans and overseeing the curriculum. We were only home for 4 days then headed back out to North Carolina to visit Bee - Bee. While we were there we went to a Amish Festival. Loved watching the children. I still am amazed how simply they live. The boys got to go on a buggy ride while eating homemade ice cream. We also drove to VA to visit MeeMaw,Aunt Glenna, Uncle Jigs, and Tammy.
This past weekend Ike and Brian got a wonderful gift from a friend of ours. Tickets to the UA game!!! Roll Tide! We are truly blessed!! As a family we take ALOT of pictures. Click on the boxes below to see our Hilton Head pictures. The second box are pictures of our time spent with BeeBee. I hope you enjoy!
